2025-26 Junior Athletics Prizewinners

Updated: 22 hours ago

Well done to all of our junior athletes, and to those who have supported and coached them over the summer.

It's been a big season. We've grown our squads, offered coaching in more events than ever before, enjoyed running on a new track, and seen our athletes succeed at local, regional and national championship events.

The following awards were presented at our junior prizegiving, held on Wednesday 27 March in the clubrooms. Congratulations to you all!

Age group winners - 10+

Our 10+ athletes competed in five events - 100m, 800m, long jump, high jump and shot put. Their points are calculated using IAAF scoring tables for combined events. For each event there is a formula that gives a result in points. They made the formulas such that 1000 points is equal to the Olympic Record (of 1912!!!) and 0 points is what an untrained schoolkid would make of it.

This system can be used for beginners, juniors and top athletes. This is great because you can use the same points system throughout your athletics career and see how far you've come!

We've been using this system for the past three years - so if you compete in club champs every year, you can track your progress 📈

This year's winners (and total scores) were:

10 year olds

Kira Parag (1282)

11 year olds

Jessebelle Ng (1187)

Oscar Kivell (1168)

12 year olds

Evelyn-Rose Findlay (1902) Carlo Jobsz (851)

13 year olds

Benjamin Lui (1865)
