Club Uniforms

We expect all juniors and competing athletes to wear a uniform. Singlets/t-shirts/crop tops can be pre-ordered below using PayPal and collected on club nights.  If you really need to pay by internet banking or cash please discuss that with us at club night.  Size guide for junior Ts.

Please note the official senior uniform for competition is the club singlet plus red shorts for men or navy for women, though men may wear navy too. (NB: We no longer stock shorts.)

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the seasons run?

The winter season runs from April through to September and the summer season runs from October through to March. Junior athletics starts at the beginning of Term 4.

What does my annual subscription cover?

The subscription fee covers club activities throughout the year - either in the 12 month period ending 31st March (juniors) or in the 12 months from joining (senior) - senior memberships are rolling from the time of joining.

Junior membership and senior competitive membership allows you to compete at club and inter-club events and allows selection for Championship events. As a member of Owairaka you are also affiliated to Athletics Auckland and Athletics New Zealand.

What are the ANZ & AAI portions of the membership fees?

This contributes to the administration of Athletics New Zealand (ANZ) and Athletics Auckland (AAI), supporting athletics at a local and national level, and providing resources to clubs (for example the Run, Jump, Throw programme).

To be able to compete in Athletics Auckland Centre events or in any event as a Registered Athlete these fees must be paid. NB: AAI and ANZ have strict refund policies for the subscription fees paid to them.

Read more: How your fees support athletics in NZ.

When does Junior Summer Athletics start?

Junior Summer Athletics runs from 6 - 7/7:30pm on Wednesday nights and starts the beginning of Term 4. The season runs through to the end of March, with a Christmas break. Check out our events calendar for more dates

Can I train as a Senior while my children participate in Junior Athletics?

You can indeed - we offer running/athletics for all ages and stages.

Can I volunteer to help the club?

Yes please! We 💙volunteers and welcome new people who want to be a part of the Owai family. If you're keen to be involved please just get in touch.
