2021-22 Junior Athletics Prizewinners announced

Well done to all of our junior athletes, and to parents, committee members, Kelly Sports and others who helped run our club champs this season.


Following are the award winners for the 2021-22 summer season:


Special Awards


Most improved

Jack Jia - Consistent improvement across winter and summer seasons, and always friendly and supportive of his teammates' improvements as well.


Merit

Jointly awarded to Peggy Taylor and Nina Chalmers, recognising their performances throughout the season at external competitions:

Peggy Taylor - 1st 200m, 3rd 400m - NI Colgate Games (12G); 2nd 200m, 400m - Athletics Auckland Senior Champs; 3rd 300m - Auckland Secondary School Champs


Nina Chalmers: 2nd 80m Hurdles, 3rd 1500m Athletics Auckland Junior Champs (14G); 3rd long jump Auckland Secondary School Champs - as well as several PBs and school records


Participation

James Landells - James is willing to give everything a go (even high jump with much older kids!) and always gives it 100%.
