We had a great afternoon at the Lovelock Track to kick off the athletics season on Saturday 7 October, with a fast, fun (and unfortunately rather wet) Quadrathlon.
Athletes brought enthusiasm and energy across the 4 events (100m, 800, long jump and shot put), not letting a little rain dampen their spirits. It was great to see athletes from other clubs, Owai kids, President Tim, new members, parents of athletes and and some who had never done athletics before, all out there giving it a go. Athletics really is a sport for everyone!
It was a fast, fun format - all done in 2 hours - and a good way to get back into athletics after the winter.
