The Colgate Games were held in the Taranaki town of Inglewood on 10-12 January and Owairaka Athletics is proud that for the first time in many years we had a team of two boys taking part. Here's a report from Megan Adams, mum of Solomon Randerson.
"Sol made the finals for the 800 and got 10th which he was very happy with and he was 11th in the 1500 which was a good race for Sol too. He was 18th in the 400m. The competition was extremely fast, but his block start went well.
Aiden competed in three events and was 1st in the Para long jump, 1st in the Para 200m and 1st in the Para 100m. A great meet for him.
Both boys really enjoyed their first Colgate Games and Sol is looking forward to next year!"
