Athletics Auckland Track & Field Championships 2022



The end of Cyclone Dovi also marked the end of the Athletics Auckland Track & Field Champs this year. Conditions were accordingly wild for the last of four days of competition - which always makes for extra drama, with some competitors navigating downed trees or a closed Harbour Bridge to get to the meet.


Kudos to the organisers and officials for making the event happen in the wild weather and the restrictions of the red setting.


12 athletes represented Owairaka across the 4 days, aged U14 to Masters 50, from 80m hurdles to 3000m. It's great to see a such a range of ages and events, and it's always exciting to see the Owai singlet out on the track - well done to all our athletes. Here are the full results:
