About the Event
The McKinnon Shield Series is Athletics Auckland's inter-club athletics competition.
It is open to athletes 12 years and older with up to 10 events throughout the course of the summer season from October to March.
Athletes earn points for their club team based on the events that they do with the aim of helping their club be crowned McKinnon Shield champions.
McKinnon Shield meets are open to everyone, fast or not so fast, experienced or not so experienced. Wherever you are on your athletics journey, the McKinnon Shield Series is for you.
All events are seeded. This means that you will only be competing against people of similar ability to you which makes for enjoyable athletics experiences for all involved.
