PUT THIS DATE IN YOUR DIARIES! - 3rd October.
We are assembling squads for the 2026 NZ Road Relays. They are going to be in Manawatu-Wanganui this year. The exact location has not yet been released. The relays follow an Ekiden-stye format ... teams of 6, 7 or 8 running a road circuit with lots of baton changing and way too much drama. It is race that needs to be experienced and a really fun team-orientated weekend.
Hopefully this year, we will have U18 or U20 boys and maybe girls, Senior Men and women (20-34 yr olds), Masters men and women (35-49 year olds) and Masters men 50s (50+). In the past we have had social teams running as well. At this stage, as a runner, you need to make yourself available for selection.
