Kerr Taylor Foundation

In 2019 we received a grant from the Kerr Taylor Foundation, enabling us to purchase three javelins and a set of practice hurdles.

This is equipment we didn't previously have, and was an identified gap in our athletics offering.

It's great to now have access to javelins. These have been used by our competition squad and by school groups (including Mt Albert Grammar) using our equipment.

We've used the hurdles for various training activities, including a learn to hurdle clinic, individual coaching and club night/sprint sqad training, which in turn has helped our athletes compete at school, regional and national competitions.

In fact, the hurdles have been so poular that we needed more - and in 2023 Kerr Taylor Foundation again provided a grant, allowing us to purchase an additional set. This means we can offer more hurdles training and even stage hurdles races.
